Mechanical and Wear Properties of Al/TiC Composites Fabricated via Combined Compo-Casting and APB Process

چکیده
One of the popular techniques to fabricate metal matrix composites is compo-casting process. The un-uniform spreading reinforced subdivisions (particles) inside metallic and lack desirable mechanical properties final produced due low bonding strength among reinforcement particles are main challenges in this warm accumulative press (APB) technique was utilized as supplementary improve microstructural evolution casted Al/TiC composite bars remove these difficulties. So, using tensile test, average Vickers micro hardness wear test scanning electron microscopy (SEM), microstructure have been considered vs. various WAPB steps. SEM morphology samples revealed that big titanium carbide clusters broken make a uniform distribution at higher APB It shown cumulative forming steps process improved composites. In general, combining would result making with high uniformity good properties.
